The Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in Europe, General Alexus G. Grynkewich, will meet on Monday with President Nicușor Dan at the Cotroceni Palace. On Tuesday, he will visit, together with General Gheorghiță Vlad, Chief of the Defense Staff, the 'Getica' National Training Center in Cincu and the Southeast Multinational Corps Command in Sibiu. This visit underscores Romania's and NATO's commitment to strengthening regional security and enhancing defense on the southeastern flank of the Alliance. Last month, Grynkewich stated that the reduction of American soldiers in Europe would not affect the defense of the continent, dismissing concerns about a weakening of the U.S. commitment. He also emphasized that NATO is prepared to face any crisis, in light of recent incidents involving Russian drones that have violated the airspace of some member states.
