Manufacturer Chavegrand has decided to recall dozens of batches of cheeses, including Camembert and Brie, made from pasteurized milk after a possible link to the infections was discovered. The company shut down the suspect production line, saying the rest of the products are safe. Listeriosis, a disease caused by Listeria bacteria, can cause severe symptoms, especially in vulnerable people. Cases have been reported since June, affecting people aged between 34 and 95.
