The Franco-British Joint Joint Expeditionary Force (CJEF) will be reinforced to up to 50,000 troops, capable of being mobilized for a major engagement in support of a future ceasefire in Ukraine. Emmanuel Macron emphasized that this expansion, from brigade to corps level, will allow the force to be brought together with other European partners and make it available to NATO. The announcement was made at a press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
