Keith Kellogg, former U.S. presidential envoy to Ukraine, stated to Fox News that Ukraine deserves "all the appreciation" for its results on the battlefield, emphasizing that Russia is failing to achieve its strategic objectives. Kellogg recently commented on Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil infrastructure and mentioned that support for Ukraine should be a priority responsibility for European allies.
He highlighted Russia's significant losses, estimating them to be between 1.2-1.4 million dead and wounded, compared to losses in Afghanistan. Kellogg emphasized that Ukraine has only lost 1% of its territory since 2014 and urged Russia to return to negotiations, stating that it is not winning this war. He warned that Russian advances in eastern Ukraine will be difficult due to existing fortifications.
