The Greek parliament has voted to prosecute former transportation minister Kostas Karamanlis over the devastating 2023 train crash that killed 57 people. Karamanlis, who resigned after the tragedy, is accused of dereliction of duty. A parliamentary committee concluded that he should stand trial and the accident sparked massive protests in Greece. More than 40 people have also been prosecuted in connection with the incident.
