Flights from airports in Greece have been suspended due to technical issues affecting radio frequencies, according to information provided by public television ERT and the Greek aviation authority. Airport operations were halted starting at 9:00 AM, and Greek airspace has become nearly empty, according to flight tracking systems. Although some flights were operated, restrictions were imposed to ensure safety. The Greek Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that it is investigating the causes of these malfunctions and mentioned that flights using the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) are affected. Additionally, several flights have been redirected to neighboring countries. Greek airspace will remain closed until 4:00 PM, according to a spokesperson for the Israel Airport Authority.
