According to Reuters, the General Authority for Civil Aviation of the United Arab Emirates has issued NOTAM notifications, announcing that the flight information region (FIR) is "partially closed." The measures, which will be valid at least until May 11, allow flights only through specific entry and exit points, in order to maintain air traffic safety.

These restrictions were imposed just two days after authorities announced the complete resumption of air operations, and the situation deteriorated rapidly after the interception of missiles and drones launched from Iran. These attacks have led to the rerouting of several aircraft to Muscat and overflights of Saudi Arabia, causing significant disruptions in regional air traffic.

Although the ceasefire between the US and Iran is in effect, both parties have warned of possible attacks on vessels attempting to cross the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting a link between the recent attacks and maritime and strategic tensions.
