The financial evaluation agency Fitch Ratings has revised Poland's rating outlook to 'negative', justifying the decision by the large budget deficits and the lack of a credible fiscal consolidation plan. Although the sovereign rating remains at 'A minus', Fitch warns that political divisions could delay the necessary reforms before the 2027 elections. Government debt could rise rapidly, reaching 68% of GDP. The Polish government is allocating record funds for defense, but it must maintain financial stability to benefit from EU support.
