A fire broke out on Saturday evening on the Brooklyn Bridge, just as the fireworks show dedicated to Independence Day was nearing its end.
The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) received a call around 9:40 PM, reporting a fire at the waste on the bridge. Firefighters responded promptly to extinguish the flames. Authorities mentioned that such fires are not uncommon, which is why a safety distance is established during fireworks shows. So far, it is unknown what caused the fire, and the New York Police Department (NYPD) has not confirmed a link between the fire and the fireworks. As of now, no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
