On Sunday, the ferry KM Barcelona 5 caught fire en route to Manado, Indonesia, causing panic among passengers. Authorities mobilized a coastal vessel and six rescue boats, managing to rescue 568 people, while three bodies were recovered from the sea. The discrepancy between the actual number of passengers and the number registered complicated rescue operations. The fire was extinguished in about an hour and the cause remains unknown.
