A fire of still unknown origin broke out on Wednesday in a kosher supermarket in the London neighborhood of Golders Green, known for recent attacks on the Jewish community.
Firefighters confirmed that the fire occurred on the ground floor of the store and in the storage area, mobilizing approximately 100 firefighters to respond. Journalists present at the scene observed a column of black smoke, but access was restricted by the police.
The supermarket, known as 'Kosher Kingdom', is the largest in Europe, covering an area of 7,000 m² and attracting over 9,500 customers weekly. Neighborhoods in the area have witnessed violent attacks, including a biting incident in April, and the group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiyya has claimed responsibility for several of these attacks.
The fire raises questions about the safety of the Jewish community in London.
