Finland's law allows the Ministry of Defense to automatically block real estate transactions by citizens of Russia and Belarus, considered 'threatening' states. The measure, announced by defense minister Antti Hakkanen, simplifies the process of banning real estate purchases, replacing a one-off analysis of each transaction. It is part of a series of measures taken by Finland in response to the invasion of Ukraine, including closing its borders with Russia.
