Inflation fell in Germany and France in March, driven by lower food and energy prices.

Annual inflation declined in both Germany and France in March 2024, led by falling food and energy prices. In Germany, inflation was 2.2%, the lowest since May 2021, while in France it was 2.3%, the lowest since September 2021.
