Friday night's explosion occurred at the Calso base, where the former pro-Iranian paramilitary group Hashed al-Shaabi is stationed. According to sources, an airstrike is the possible cause of the blast, but the perpetrator could not be named. One person died and eight others were injured. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
