The European Commission has presented a budget proposal of almost €2 trillion, with increased allocations for education, social inclusion and regional cohesion.

The budget proposal for 2028-2034 includes €41 billion for Erasmus+, a significant increase for education and mobility. It also foresees €354 billion for Cohesion Policy and a minimum investment of €100 billion in social. Roxana Mînzatu emphasized the importance of integration of funds and flexibility in their use. Negotiations for the approval of the budget will be intense, with the aim of having a modern budget that supports all Europeans, including the vulnerable.
