European diplomatic chief Kaja Kallas has announced that the EU is ready to help restart negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, after talks with Iranian minister Abbas Araghchi. She emphasized the urgent need to resume negotiations and cooperation with the IAEA, warning that threats to withdraw from the NPT are not helping to reduce tensions. Iran, on the other hand, expressed the need for guarantees that the US would not attack again. The EU has been a constant mediator in this context, playing a key role in the 2015 Vienna agreement.
