In a measure aimed at limiting Russia's export revenues, the Council of the European Union has decided to impose a 50% customs duty on agricultural products from Russia and Belarus, starting July 1. This will affect about 15% of agricultural imports from Russia, including products such as sugar and flour. A 6.5% duty will also be applied to chemical fertilizers imported from these countries. In a separate decision, the EU has granted equivalence for agricultural seeds from Ukraine and Moldova, facilitating imports and the expansion of production in these countries.
