The European Union's 18th sanctions package against Russia has been adopted, aimed at slashing the Kremlin's war budget and limiting Russian banks' access to financing. Among the measures included are a price cap on Russian oil, a ban on Nord Stream pipelines and sanctions against Chinese banks that help circumvent sanctions. Slovakia dropped earlier objections, making it easier to approve the sanctions.
