Tijuana, an important border town for drug trafficking and crossing into the United States, was the scene of a drone attack on judicial buildings. The state attorney of Baja California, María Elena Andrade, announced that the drones launched homemade explosives, which contained nails and shrapnel, causing material damage but no casualties.

The incident occurred in the context of an increase in violence generated by organized crime, which is increasingly using drones for attacks. The U.S. consulate has warned American citizens to avoid the area.
