Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister of Poland, criticized the statements of American President Donald Trump, who suggested that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would be an obstacle to reaching a peace agreement. Tusk emphasized on platform X that Russia, not Zelensky, is the one that rejected the peace plan proposed by the United States, highlighting that Russia's response has been an escalation of missile attacks on Ukrainian cities. He stated that the solution to the conflict in Ukraine lies in increasing pressure on Russia. In an interview, Trump stated that, in his opinion, Putin would be more open to a peace agreement than the Ukrainian leadership. Poland, as a member of the EU and NATO, plays an essential role in supporting Ukraine, being an important logistical hub for Western military aid.
