Donald Trump has signed to reinstate the ban on transgender people serving in the US military.

The orders come after Pete Hegseth was sworn in as defense secretary. One of the executive orders will outline new military standards on gender pronouns and state that mental and physical readiness requires banning transgender service members from the military. A second order affirms a ban on any 'discriminatory' policies in the military, and the third order calls for the reinstatement of all active and reserve members who were discharged for lack of the COVID vaccine.
