On Tuesday, Geneva will host two rounds of diplomatic negotiations, one between the USA and Iran, and the other trilateral with Russia and Ukraine. The American delegation, consisting of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, will meet with Iranian representatives, mediated by Oman. These negotiations come amid pressures exerted by American President Donald Trump on Iran, following the violent crackdown on protests.
On the same day, the Russian delegation, led by Vladimir Medinski, will participate in discussions with Ukraine, confirmed by the Russian agency Interfax. Medinski, criticized by Ukrainians for his tough style, returns to head the Russian delegation after being replaced in previous rounds. President Zelensky's advisor, Mykhailo Podoliak, noted a change in the atmosphere of the negotiations, mentioning a better openness from the Russian delegation.
