A powerful tornado hit the small town of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu in the state of Paraná, Brazil, causing the death of at least five people and injuring approximately 130.

Local authorities have confirmed that among the injured there are 30 people in serious and moderate condition, while the rest have suffered minor injuries. Winds reached speeds between 180 and 250 km/h, overturning cars and destroying houses, including concrete structures. The state governor, Ratinho Junior, stated that security forces are mobilized to monitor the situation. The National Institute of Meteorology has issued a "storm danger" alert for the entire region.
