On Monday, a forest fire broke out near the resort of Tarifa, evacuating more than 2,000 people, including tourists and residents of the affected areas. The blaze, which started in eucalyptus and pine forests, quickly spread towards the coast and the fire-fighting efforts, complicated by strong winds, involved more than 100 interventions and 14 planes and helicopters. The fires continue to affect six autonomous communities in Spain, causing injuries and further evacuations in various regions.
