Derrick Groves, a prisoner with a violent criminal record, was captured by authorities after four months of evasion, being located with the help of a police dog.

Groves, at 28 years old, was convicted of murder and faced a life sentence. After escaping from a prison in New Orleans, he was sought by a SWAT team that used gas to find him. After four months on the run, a police dog discovered him, thus ending the intense search and giving authorities the opportunity to bring him back into custody.
