The U.S. State Department has approved an $8.5 billion contract for Denmark, which includes six Patriot launchers, radar systems, and missiles, to support Ukraine in defending against Russian attacks. Denmark, which does not operate Patriot systems, will purchase this equipment from the U.S. Others, like the Netherlands, have made similar purchases. Ukraine has consistently requested such systems to protect its cities. Russia controls 20% of Ukrainian territory and demands Ukraine's withdrawal from certain regions, a request rejected by Kyiv.
