Rasmussen emphasized that any solution that does not respect the sovereignty of Denmark and Greenland is unacceptable. In this context, it was decided to form a high-level working group to discuss U.S. ambitions, maintaining the established red lines. Additionally, Denmark has begun military maneuvers in Greenland, in collaboration with NATO allies, as a deterrent signal to the U.S. Despite the desire to strengthen relations with the United States, Danish and Greenlandic officials have emphasized that they do not wish to become American subordinates. The European Parliament condemned the statements of the Trump administration, considering them a violation of international law.
