An emergency evacuation slide detached from a Delta Air Lines Boeing jet on Friday just after takeoff from New York. The pilots of the Boeing 767 jet felt a vibration in the airplane, made a turn and landed safely at JFK Airport. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the incident. The company said it is not clear what caused the incident and that the airplane is now being taken out of service and evaluated.
