A spokesperson for the author stated that he firmly denies any inappropriate behavior and that he was not informed of any investigation.

Following the investigation, some employees were reportedly kept at a distance from Walliams, and one of them allegedly received a substantial settlement. HarperCollins decided not to publish any new titles signed by Walliams, emphasizing the importance of employee well-being. Additionally, Walliams has sought legal advice. Famous for his successful works, Walliams was also a judge on the show Britain's Got Talent until 2022, when he left the show after controversial comments.
