Danone has decided to withdraw at least three batches of Aptamil baby formula from Germany, in the context of the expansion of the contamination alert with cereulide toxin, which started with Nestlé products. The withdrawal was communicated through a letter addressed to the distributor Alliance Healthcare, mentioning batches produced between May and August 2025. Although Danone stated that its products comply with safety regulations, the withdrawals were triggered by a problem that initially arose in December, when Nestlé recalled batches of products due to contamination with Bacillus cereus. This situation has led to withdrawals in dozens of countries and has also affected other producers, generating potential losses of over 1 billion dollars.
