A massive cyber attack targeted the Swedish IT systems provider Miljödata, exposing the personal data of 1.5 million people, nearly 15% of Sweden's population. The hackers, a group called Datacarry, demanded 1.5 bitcoin (approximately 150,000 euros) to not disclose the information, which includes names, addresses, and contact details. Swedish authorities are investigating the incident, and several municipalities and companies, including Volvo and SAS, have been affected.
