Although the Croatian government was invited to participate in this initiative, Plenkovic stated that, after a thorough analysis, several reasons were identified for why Croatia will not join this council, but he did not provide further details. The Prime Minister emphasized that the country expects the European Union to harmonize its position on this issue. The 'Peace Council' was recently launched at the World Economic Forum in Davos and aims to address global conflicts, which has sparked criticism, being perceived as a potential rival to the United Nations.
