The investigation into Elon Musk-owned platform X and its management was triggered by complaints alleging manipulation of the algorithm to promote hate content and reduce diversity of opinion. Authorities have gathered solid evidence, including technical checks and information from researchers, to investigate offenses related to tampering with computer systems. This is the first major investigation in France to address algorithmic liability of an international social platform.
