The president of the French parliamentary committee investigating the effects of TikTok on minors has called for a criminal investigation, accusing the platform of endangering the health of young users. Deputy Arthur Delaporte emphasized that TikTok could bear criminal responsibility, considering that the company's directors stated they were not aware of these issues. The committee recommended banning access to social networks for children under 15 and restricting nighttime use for teenagers. TikTok did not comment on the request but stated that it takes the mental health of children seriously.
