The Pedocin beach in Trieste, Italy, has recently become the subject of controversy after an incident involving a couple of tourists from Milan and a local woman.

The latter, located in the section reserved for men along with her husband and their disabled son, drew the attention of tourists to the beach rules. The conflict escalated, requiring the intervention of beach staff, and the couple was escorted out, receiving their entrance fee back. The incident generated strong reactions, with tourists considering the separation on the beach as a form of discrimination. The beach, which was built in the early 1900s to maintain morality, offers a simple and relaxing environment, attracting many visitors who want to feel comfortable.

With an entrance fee of about one euro, Pedocin remains popular among locals and tourists, despite the controversies.
