Japanese manufacturer Takata was responsible for the death of a 37-year-old woman in France, caused by the explosion of the airbag in a 2014 Citroen C3. Following this incident, Citroën requested the immediate immobilization of all C3 and DS3 vehicles equipped with these dangerous airbags, in order to carry out necessary repairs. The call was made by the company's general manager, Xavier Chardon.
