The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties involved in the Iranian conflict on Monday to cease military actions and to prevent the escalation of the situation. Spokesperson Mao Ning stated that the attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran constitute a violation of international law and that China is deeply concerned about the negative effects on neighboring countries. Mao also emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Gulf states and encouraged strengthening communication among them. China thus reaffirms its position to promote stability in the region.
