The Chinese Minister of Defense, Dong Jun, stated that China is willing to collaborate with Russia to strengthen strategic coordination and improve cooperation mechanisms. In a videoconference with his Russian counterpart, Andrei Belousov, Dong emphasized the need to jointly respond to risks and challenges, promoting a positive energy for global security.

Although China maintains a neutral position regarding the war in Ukraine, it has not condemned the Russian invasion and is accused by the West of providing economic support to Russia, including through the supply of military components. This communication comes in the context of recent negotiations between Moscow and Kiev regarding a peace plan proposed by the USA.
