The Israeli prime minister and the Syrian interim president have agreed a ceasefire, but violence between Druze fighters and Bedouin tribesmen continues in Soueïda, with more than 638 reported dead. The town's hospital is facing a humanitarian crisis, receiving hundreds of dead bodies. Although the Syrian authorities are working to send in a special force, allegations of abuses and alliances with Bedouin tribes persist. Recent clashes threaten the stability of the region and the power of the interim president.
