Casey Wasserman, the founder of the Wasserman agency, announced the sale of his company, acknowledging that it had become a distraction for its operations. The decision came after intense criticism following the revelation of suggestive emails sent to Ghislaine Maxwell, associated with Jeffrey Epstein. Wasserman apologized to his employees, emphasizing that his interactions with Epstein and Maxwell were limited and regrettable.

Pressure has increased especially from the music department, where several artists threatened to leave the agency if he did not resign. Although Wasserman confirmed the sale of the agency, the details are unclear, and Mike Watts will take over daily leadership during the process. Despite the controversies, Wasserman remains involved in organizing the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
