Among those sanctioned are members of the pro-Russian party Șor and officials from Găgăuzia. The sanctions also target pro-Russian media organizations that spread disinformation. This is the third round of sanctions since June 2023, aimed at supporting the Moldovan government and countering Russian influence. The sanctions include asset freezes and travel bans for the targeted individuals.
