Trump administration official Tom Homan has said he will arrest anyone who obstructs law enforcement efforts in California, targeting Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who have criticized the deployment of National Guard troops. Trump has argued the arrests would be a good idea, while Newsom has condemned the threats, saying they represent a dangerous step toward authoritarianism.
