Chinese giant BYD is to open a European hub in Hungary with sales, after-sales service and testing functions for electric vehicles, creating 2,000 jobs. Hungary has become a major center for Chinese investment, and BYD is also expanding its presence in Romania, where it will have 30 dealers and 7 electric models available. This expansion will intensify competition in the Romanian car market.
