In Bulgaria, COVID-19 cases have increased along with the autumn, but most infections are mild, according to Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev. Vaccination remains very important, including against the flu and pneumococcal infections. Kantardzhiev emphasized the progress in the overall immunity of society and expressed optimism regarding the medical future, despite the previous challenges of the pandemic, which had a severe impact on the healthcare system and the economy.
