Two of Brad Pitt's children are requesting a change of their last name.

Zahara and Maddox, the children of Brad Pitt, have filed requests in a California court to change their last name from the actor's.

Zahara, 21 years old, has requested to change her name from Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Marley Jolie, while Maddox, 24 years old, has asked to remove the last name Pitt. This is a new phase in the legal conflict between Brad Pitt and his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, which has been ongoing for nearly a decade.

Although the divorce was finalized in 2024, the two continue to face off in court, particularly regarding the wine estate Château Miraval. According to California law, the two have published notices in the Los Angeles Daily Journal to allow anyone to contest the name change.

The judge may decide on Maddox's request in September, and on Zahara's at the end of the same month. Brad Pitt has not publicly commented on this matter, and the children's representatives have not been available for statements.
