The US Senate report indicates that BMW imported at least 8,000 Mini Coopers equipped with parts from a Chinese supplier banned under the 2021 law. This Chinese supplier was added to the UFLPA Entity List in December 2021, which means its products are alleged to be manufactured with forced labor. Other carmakers such as Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo and Volkswagen AG have also been implicated in importing banned Chinese parts.
