The Belarusian Ministry of Defense announced the deployment of exercises for units that utilize nuclear weapons, involving missile forces and aviation. The purpose of the exercise is to improve personnel training and to verify the condition of weapons and military equipment.
The exercises include aspects such as camouflage and movement over long distances. Representatives of the ministry assured that these activities are planned within the framework of the Union State and do not pose a threat to other countries. Previously, in September 2022, similar exercises took place within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and in March 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. The first deliveries of nuclear ammunition occurred in June 2023, and the 'Oreshnik' ballistic missiles were deployed at the request of President Lukashenko.
