Beijing reacted with indignation to the military attacks by the United States against Venezuela and the capture of President Nicolas Maduro, expressing its deep shock and firm condemnation of American actions. The Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a statement emphasizing that the use of force by the U.S. against a sovereign state constitutes a serious violation of international law and undermines Venezuela's sovereignty. China believes that this hegemonic behavior threatens peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean, reaffirming its strong opposition to the actions of the United States.
