A baby was found dead in a special place for abandoned newborns outside a church in Italy.

The baby boy, about a month old, was found in the special place by a funeral director. The parish priest said that although he was supposed to get an alert on his phone when someone leaves a baby in the crib, this time that did not happen. Police will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
