<p>Austria has confirmed that it will continue to host Eurovision 2026, despite the boycott announced by Spain, Ireland, Slovenia, and the Netherlands, which refuse to participate due to Israel's involvement in the Gaza conflict. At a meeting of the European Broadcasting Union, it was decided that Israel will participate in the 70th anniversary edition of the contest, which will take place in Vienna. The general director of the Austrian broadcaster ORF, Roland Weissmann, stated that the show will not be affected and that, although the boycott could represent a financial burden, Austria had anticipated this in its budget. He emphasized that countries wishing to withdraw still have time until mid-December to reconsider. Austria and Germany have been among the most vocal supporters of Israel's participation.
